The Rietondale Tennis Club celebrated its 60th birthday on the 24th October 2009.

As part of the celebration, Steff and Myrna van Rooy donated a painting of its committee members to the clubhouse. It was painted by artist Frances De Jager from Leeufontein Estates, who is also a member of club.

Chairman Konrad Le Roux congratulated Frances on her talents.

Hester Genade, the oldest club member who is in her late nineties, was the honorary guest. Other special guests were Dixie Coetzee and Liesbet Otto, octogenarians who are founder members of the club that were present from the start of the club.
